ScoreRelay Privacy Policy

ScoreRelay is an iPhone app for creating, scoring, relaying, and sharing match results. The current version requires no account and does not connect to a developer server. Match data is stored on your device by default.

Summary: When you choose to display a match QR code or use the system share sheet, participant names or nicknames, match rules, and scores may be provided to the person, app, or service you select. Data handling when you visit this policy website is described under “Privacy policy page hosting.”

Scope

This policy applies to the ScoreRelay iOS App developed and maintained by 长万. It describes the current version's actual data-handling practices.

Apple device backups, iOS share destinations, and third-party apps, services, or recipients you select process relevant information independently under their own terms and privacy policies.

Data you create and store on your device

To provide competition management, scoring, and match relay features, the App uses iOS SwiftData to process and store information you enter or generate locally. The developer does not receive these local records from the App.

  • Competition identifiers, competition names, sport and format, creation times, and participant random identifiers and names or nicknames you enter.
  • A match relay identifier, sequence number, side names, rules, per-game scores, current game, match status, and creation and update times.
  • A local preference recording whether the welcome introduction has been completed.

Camera and offline QR relay

The App requests camera permission only when you open the scanning screen. Camera frames are processed in real time on the device solely to recognize QR codes. The App does not take, save, or upload photos or videos. You can manage camera permission in iOS Settings.

When you export a match, the App encodes a single-match snapshot on the device and displays it as a QR code. The snapshot contains a relay identifier, sport, side names, rules, each game's scores, the current game, match status, and result; it does not contain the competition name. The QR data is encoded and compressed, not encrypted for confidentiality. Anyone who can see and scan the code may obtain this information.

When another device scans the code, it decodes the data and stores it in that device's local App data. A match with the same relay identifier may be replaced after user confirmation. QR relay does not pass through a developer server.

Sharing and third-party recipients

When you choose to share a result, the App passes your selected text or image to the iOS share sheet. Text may contain the sport, side names, total score, per-game scores, and match status. A result-card image may also include the date of the last update.

You select the receiving app, service, storage location, or person. The App does not send content automatically and has no fixed third-party recipient. Further handling is governed by the selected recipient's terms and privacy policy. The App does not itself read or write the clipboard, read the photo library, or automatically save images.

Network use, accounts, and third-party SDKs

The current version provides no account, login, cloud sync, or developer backend API and makes no in-App network request to upload match data or preferences. It integrates no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, payment, or user-tracking SDK and does not use this data for advertising profiles, cross-app or cross-site tracking, sale, or rental.

The App provides no in-app purchase or subscription and does not process payment information. Apple independently handles App Store downloads or transactions and services such as system diagnostics and store statistics.

Retention, deletion, backups, and security

Match data remains in the App's local container until you delete an individual match, delete a competition and its related matches, uninstall the App, or the operating system otherwise handles it. Deletion removes the relevant records from the App's SwiftData store, but cannot guarantee that residual bytes on storage media are immediately physically overwritten. Deleting match data does not reset the welcome-introduction preference.

The App provides no proprietary backup or cloud sync, but local databases and preferences may be included in iCloud or computer device backups depending on your device, migration, and Apple backup settings. The developer cannot access or remotely delete those copies; you must manage them through the relevant Apple or backup service. Copies provided to other devices, services, or people through QR relay or system sharing are also outside the App's control.

Local data is protected by the iOS app sandbox and device security mechanisms. Avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information in participant names, and show QR codes or share results only with recipients you trust.

Your choices

You may use nicknames or other custom labels instead of real names; deny or revoke camera permission in iOS Settings; decline to display a QR code or share a result; and delete matches or competition records in the App. Because the App has no account or developer server, there is no account information or server-side profile to request for deletion.
