APP PRIVACY POLICY

ChantFlow Privacy Policy

ChantFlow's core counting, practice, and record features work offline. The current version requires no developer account and integrates no advertising, third-party analytics, or user-tracking service. Content you create in ChantFlow is stored primarily on your device. Membership subscriptions are handled through Apple StoreKit.

Summary: The app does not send your chants, practices, counting records, or preferences to a developer server. A relevant service provider processes only the information needed when you choose to purchase or restore membership, send feedback email, or use an Apple system service. Data handling when you visit this policy website is described under “Privacy policy page hosting.”

Scope

This policy applies to ChantFlow, an iOS app developed and maintained by 长万. It describes how the current version handles information for local records, practice reminders, auto-renewable membership, feedback email, and related system features.

Apple independently processes information needed to provide the App Store, StoreKit, device backup, local notification, and App Store review features. The email service you choose independently processes information needed to deliver email. Each provider's handling is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Information stored on your device

To provide chant counting, practice scheduling, progress statistics, and record management, ChantFlow uses Apple SwiftData to process and store information you enter or generate locally on your device. The developer does not receive these local records from the app.

  • Chant items: names, units, custom units, count increments, round sizes, long-term goals, creation times, ordering, and archive status.
  • Practice schedules: morning, midday, or evening settings, enabled status, linked items, completion modes, target counts or durations, and reminder times.
  • Chant records: item-name snapshots, counts, units, start and end times, effective duration, local date, time zone, related practice, manual-entry status, and notes you enter.
  • Active chants: current count, target, pause state, start and update times, and information needed to restore the session.
  • Local preferences: language, appearance, sound, haptics, default increment, timer display, goal-completion feedback, and keep-screen-awake settings.

Membership subscriptions and purchase information

When you open the Membership page, purchase an auto-renewable subscription, or restore purchases, ChantFlow obtains through Apple StoreKit the product and transaction information needed to provide membership. This can include the product identifier, displayed price, trial eligibility, transaction-verification result, entitlement status, expiration date, renewal status, and revocation status. The app uses this information to display the offer, confirm purchase results, unlock member features, and restore active benefits.

Apple handles purchases, charges, trial eligibility, and subscription management. The developer does not receive your complete Apple Account details, card number, payment password, or billing address and does not store StoreKit transaction data on a developer server. Canceling a subscription does not delete your local ChantFlow data, and deleting local data does not cancel your Apple subscription; these actions must be completed separately.

Local notifications, clipboard, and device features

ChantFlow requests iOS notification permission only when you choose to enable a practice reminder. It then schedules a practice-time reminder and an optional incomplete-practice reminder on your device. The current version uses local notifications only, does not register for a remote push token, and does not send notifications through a developer server. You can turn off reminders in the app or manage notification permission in iOS Settings.

When you choose Copy, ChantFlow writes only the current chant count to the system clipboard so that you can paste it elsewhere. The app does not read existing clipboard content.

Sound and haptic features use system playback and haptic capabilities only. They do not request microphone permission or record ambient audio. Keep Screen Awake changes the system idle-timer state only while you have enabled the feature and are using the counting screen. ChantFlow can also invoke Apple's App Store review interface.

Feedback email

When you choose Feedback & Suggestions, ChantFlow attempts to open the system mail app with a recipient, subject, app version, iOS version, and device model prefilled. You can review, edit, or remove this content before sending, or cancel. ChantFlow does not send email automatically in the background.

Only after you confirm sending will your feedback, sender address, email metadata, attachments, and any retained prefilled information be sent by your chosen email service to the developer. The developer uses these communications only to reply, troubleshoot, handle requests, and improve ChantFlow, and retains them for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. You may use the contact email in this policy to request access, correction, or deletion of feedback communications held by the developer. Email-provider backups, security retention, or legally required retention may remain subject to that provider's rules.

Chant names and notes may reflect personal habits or beliefs. Unless necessary, do not include identity documents, health information, or other sensitive personal information in feedback email.

Network use, accounts, and third-party SDKs

The current version provides no developer account, login, cloud sync, or developer backend API and does not use a first-party network interface to upload chant content, records, or preferences. Network-dependent membership purchases and restoration are performed through Apple StoreKit. Feedback email is sent by your selected email service only after you confirm sending.

ChantFlow integrates no third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or user-tracking SDK. It does not use your information to create advertising profiles or track you across apps or websites, and it does not sell or rent personal information.

Permissions and information not accessed by the current version

Other than notification permission that you choose to enable, the current version does not request sensitive access to the camera, photos, microphone, location, contacts, calendars, Bluetooth, health, or motion data. Except for writing the current number when you choose Copy, ChantFlow does not read clipboard content.

Unless you enter it yourself in a chant name, note, or feedback email, the current version does not collect or access your real name, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, camera, microphone, health data, advertising identifier, or cross-app browsing activity.

Sharing, service providers, and international processing

The developer does not share your locally stored ChantFlow data with third parties. Apple may process limited information to provide the App Store, StoreKit, subscription management, transaction verification, system notification, review, and device backup services. Your chosen email provider processes and delivers feedback email only after you confirm sending.

ChantFlow does not upload local chant data to a developer server, so the developer does not actively transfer that data across borders. Apple services and your selected email service may process information in different countries or regions according to their infrastructure, your account region, and their privacy policies. Each provider is responsible for that processing.

When necessary to comply with valid legal or regulatory requirements or to protect users, the public, or the developer's lawful interests, the developer may disclose feedback communications already received after reviewing the request's legal basis and necessity.

Retention, deletion, backups, and security

Local data is generally retained until you delete the relevant content in ChantFlow, uninstall the app, or the operating system handles it. You can delete the relevant chant items and records. Uninstalling the app normally removes its on-device app data. Canceling membership does not automatically delete local data.

ChantFlow does not provide developer-operated cloud sync or backup, but its local database and preferences may be included in iCloud or computer device backups according to your device migration and Apple backup settings. The developer cannot access or remotely delete those copies; you must manage them through the system settings Apple provides.

ChantFlow uses platform security capabilities including the iOS app sandbox, system data storage, and StoreKit transaction verification to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. You should also use a device passcode, a supported system version, and appropriate protection for your Apple Account.

Your choices and children's privacy

You can view, correct, or delete most local data directly in ChantFlow; turn off reminders or withdraw notification permission in system settings; choose not to copy a number or send feedback email; and view or cancel auto-renewal through Apple's subscription management. Because ChantFlow has no developer account system and the developer cannot remotely access on-device data, actions involving local data normally must be completed on your device.

ChantFlow is not intended to collect children's personal information. Minors should use it with guidance from a parent or guardian and should avoid entering unnecessary identifying information in notes or feedback email. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent inappropriate information in feedback email can contact us through the email address in this policy.
