Cinema Timer Privacy Policy
Cinema Timer is an on-device movie progress timer. The current version requires no account, integrates no advertising, analytics, or user-tracking service, and keeps movie records and preferences primarily on your device.
Summary: The current App does not send movie records or preferences to the developer. Live Activities are created on-device and do not use remote push. Data handling when you visit this policy website is described under “Privacy policy page hosting.”
Scope
This policy applies to the Cinema Timer iOS App developed and maintained by 长万, including its accompanying Live Activity widget.
It describes the current version's actual data-handling practices. Independent processing by services outside the App, such as Apple device backups, is governed by those providers' terms and privacy policies.
Data you create and store on your device
To provide movie progress, remaining time, and expected end time, the App stores movie-viewing records that you enter or generate locally on your device. The developer does not receive these records from the App.
- Movie name, scheduled showtime, and movie duration.
- The actual start time or progress-calibration information you set.
- Intermission start time and duration.
- A record identifier, creation time, and time information needed to calculate progress.
- Local preferences such as language, time format, appearance, and whether the introduction has been completed.
Live Activities and system features
When allowed by the system and a movie is playing, the App can create a Live Activity on your device that shows progress information such as the movie name, start time, duration, intermission, and expected end time on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. The current implementation uses local ActivityKit updates, does not request a remote push token, and does not send updates through a developer server.
Tapping the Live Activity can open the corresponding record through an on-device deep link. You control whether Live Activities are allowed and displayed in iOS settings. Apple may process information necessary to provide operating-system features under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
Collection, network use, and third-party services
The current version provides no account, login, cloud sync, or backend API and makes no in-App network request to upload movie records or preferences. It integrates no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, payment, or user-tracking SDK.
Accordingly, the developer does not use the App to collect, sell, rent, or share your movie records, preferences, device identifiers, or usage behavior with third parties, and does not use this information for advertising or cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Permissions and sensitive information
The current version does not request access to the camera, photos, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, Bluetooth, health, or motion data and does not access the clipboard. The App does not use remote notifications.
You choose the movie name. To reduce exposure on system surfaces such as the Lock Screen, do not enter unnecessary sensitive personal information in a movie name.
Local storage, system backups, and security
Movie records are stored with iOS SwiftData in the App's local container. Preferences are stored in the App's UserDefaults. They are protected by the iOS app sandbox and device security mechanisms, and the developer cannot remotely access this local data.
Depending on your device and Apple backup settings, local App data may be included in iCloud Backup or device backups made with Finder or similar tools. You and the applicable service provider control those backups; the developer cannot access or delete copies stored there.
Retention, deletion, and your controls
Local data remains on your device until you delete an individual viewing record, use “Clear All Data” in Settings, or uninstall the App. Deleting a record removes it from the App's local database. “Clear All Data” removes all viewing records, progress calibrations, intermission settings, and related Live Activities, and resets language, time-format, appearance, and introduction preferences.
Uninstalling the App ordinarily removes its local container, but backups created earlier by the system or by you may remain under Apple or backup-provider retention rules. You can manage those copies through the relevant system or backup service. Because the App provides no account, there is no account or server-side profile to request for deletion.
International transfers and automated decisions
Because the current version does not transmit in-App data to the developer or its service providers, the developer does not transfer that data internationally. The App does not use your data for profiling, automated decision-making, or advertising recommendations.
Privacy policy page hosting
This policy page is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit it, Cloudflare may process network logs such as your IP address, request time, and browser or device information to the extent necessary to provide network transmission, security, and operation. This information arises from visiting this web page and does not mean that the Cinema Timer App transmits it.
Policy updates
If the App's features or data-handling practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in App release notes or within the App. Before material changes take effect, we will meet applicable legal and platform requirements.
